About Us
Scroll down for a great deal on a ewe-n-lamb combo!
Wicket Gate is a very small farm operation. Because of vandalism back in 2007, we had to move our sheep off the fields we had intended to use and set up shepherding on our side yard.  Since that time, we have been trying to find the 'right' amount of sheep for our limited space.

A small flock does not mean poor quality, however.  Our ewes are in excellent health and are all breeding quality.  We are only offering breeding quality lambs for sale.
We recognize that our small size reduces the selection for our buyers. We have tried to reduce our prices to help compensate for the fact that we cannot offer starter flocks, etc.

In 2008 we had five beautiful, breeding quality lambs for sale. This year, we have only two.  They are very nice. We also have two mature ewes we are offering for sale.

This beauty is Brigetta. She reminds me so much of the daughter of Captain VonTrapp in Sound of Music. She is black mouflon horned carrying moorit and spotting. She is a single lamb out of Peppermint Patti and Caspian. This match produced terrific lambs last year. I am confident she will grow up to be an excellent ewe also. She has straight legs and back; she is perky and alert. She has Ari, Rektor, Morro, Laekur, Skumar bloodlines.

The Cute Little Red Headed Girl

Introducing Greta. Greta is a beautiful  moorit mouflan ewe lamb born to Red and Woodstock in June. She is strong, healthy, and full of energy.  She has bloodlines tracing to Lavendar Fleece (through Woodstock) and Woolfarm (through Red).  Her mother has temendous fleece and also has the best parasite resistance on my little farm. I would expect that to pass down to Greta.
This is one terrific little lamb.
$300 if purchased alone.
$500 if purchased with Red.
$50 off if picked up at or before weaning.

PAM 73S      MEINHOLZ EWE M5H 73S
This is Red who is outstanding  for fleece quality and parasite resistance.  We had her listed for sale as a bred ewe in the spring, but then she did not lamb along with the others. So we put her on a reserved list while we waited to see if she was going to lamb late.  Sure enough, in late June she gave a beautiful, healthy ewe lamb. Both mother and baby are doing great.
We now feel confident in offering Red for sale again.
We purchased Red as a lamb from Woolfarm in Wisconsin in 2006. She has been exposed to the ram twice and given singles each time.  She is very healthy and produces great fleece. The only reason we offer her for sale is space restrictions. We are moving toward a very small fiber flock and we have her wethered son from last year who has her same great fleece.

$300 purchased alone or $500 with her ewe lamb.
$50 discount on the pair if they are picked up before weaning.          Sale pending.
